let's get lost is a choose-your-own-adventure self-guided walking tour of central dublin. it takes the form of a small 36-page illustrated booklet with a fold-out map. the project is about exploring and seeing the city through the layers of stories constantly taking place all around it, and the format is based on the photocopied and doodled aesthetic of zines.

starting on east essex street in temple bar, each location matches a piece of text and a number of choices leading to other places. you read the text, filter it through what you’re feeling and seeing, and choose. depending on the choices, your walk could be short or very, very long. or maybe you’ll choose to get waylaid, or ditch the walk, or cheat to find somewhere more interesting, or, or, or...

this ziney project was planned, walked, mapped, written and illustrated by lisa cassidy during the summer of 2006, with support from project arts centre. 500 copies exist.
