Undertow is a one-shot, made in a 24-hour period between August 16th and 17th 2003. It's explicitly a fanzine about the band R.E.M., stringing personal narrative between the chronology of their work. The zine is A6 in size, with a two-colour hand-stencilled cover (with two versions - one of Michael Stipe, one of Mike Mills) and a hand-stitched pamphlet binding. It was produced in a very limited edition, enforced by the labour-intensive cover.

The 24-hour format had the advantage of overcoming procrastination, but the writing could be stronger and could stretch more to do the subject justice. I'd like to revisit it at some point.
